Unit Modifications

​General renovations are not permitted without first having the design and specifications approved by the Board. A Condominium Unit Renovation Request Form must be completed and submitted in advance.  Renovations may only begin once approval has been provided by the Board.  The Board reviews these requests on a timely basis.

AIR CONDITIONING
Units for Air Conditioning are not permitted to be installed.

FLOORING MODIFICATION
The installation of harder surfaces such as hardwood are only permissible subject to certain guidelines:
  • Refer to the ‘Flooring modification information policy’ (please note the hyperlink bullet above)
  • All work must be pre-approved by the Board. Please contact PEKA in advance of purchase or contracting to ensure that approval is obtained in writing.
  • This process has been established to ensure that modifications do not affect the structural integrity of the unit and pose no noise concerns to other owners (especially those on lower floors directly below the unit in question and other adjacent units).

SCREEN DOORS
In supporting Crossbow Point maintaining its "luxury" condo status, the consistency of visual appeal is an important factor where common property and exterior views come into play. In support of this goal screen doors are permitted provided they comply with the following detailed requirements
  • Phantom-brand doors , which retract sideways into a case inside the suite, are permitted
  •  Frames and screens in various shades are are allowed provided they are compatible with  the decor of the exterior and interior surrounding
  • Interior mount only and must not be visible from the outside except when exterior door is open and screen is in use
  • For ease of reference, in Canmore, One Way Glass Ltd. and Canmore Glass & Screen sell and install these screen doors; they can be contacted at 403-678-6927 and 403-678-4588 respectively

IMPORTANT: Any brand other than Phantom must have the prior approval of the board
