Policies and Procedures/Part 4: Other Matters
Barbecues (BBQs)
• Propane BBQs are NOT permitted at Crossbow Point.
• Natural Gas outlets are located on all balconies/decks and the cost of natural gas is
included in the monthly condominium fee.
• Propane BBQ burners can be converted to natural gas (kits are available at hardware
stores and / or a heating specialist can do the conversion for you).
• Propane tanks are not to be stored anywhere on Crossbow Point property, and can be
returned to a local supplier for disposal
• BBQ units must be stable to ensure safety due to potential high wind hazards; it is
recommended that BBQs be ‘tethered’ to the balcony railing supports (do NOT affix
screws or bolts to any portion of the outside wall or balcony)
• Natural Gas shut-off valves (situated on the exterior wall) MUST BE CLOSED at all
times when the BBQ is not in use; this reduces fire hazard. When closing down your BBQ,
turn this valve off first, then close all control valves on the BBQ.
